The speakers will demonstrate the possibilities and limitations of IP management in the pharmaceutical context, based on a sophisticated patenting strategy. Risk assessment and valuation is an integral part of efficient IP management from a business point of view. Using the NORVASC® case study as a concrete example, the speakers will demonstrate how to establish a monetary valuation of secondary (life cycle) patents so important to the pharmaceutical industry.
